What is the ÖSA Impact Seal® and why does it matter?
The ÖSA Impact Seal® is a material-based certification awarded to hospitality properties that replace high-waste amenities with sustainable, biodegradable, or compostable alternatives. Certification is issued based on verified product use—what guests actually see, touch, and use during their stay.
Do I have to be certified to use your services?
No. Certification is available to qualifying properties, but product guidance, impact reporting, and visual campaign services are also available independently. Many properties begin with product transition and pursue certification later.
Can I track the environmental impact of switching products?
Yes. Every product we recommend is measurable through the ÖSA Wastage Calculator™. You’ll receive data on your estimated waste reduction, material upgrades, and long-term environmental benefit—giving you tangible proof of progress that can be shared with stakeholders or guests.
